It's not often I am handed things to blog, being rather content with my handful of (all be it quiet) readers I haven't pushed to be seen and known around the grid. I don't mind, that means I have more time to blog the things that I love and the few things that do indeed get handed my way get special attention. I've been looking for a reason to visit a library of sorts in Second Life for a while, since I love to read and even write myself. I recently started a second blog, completely unrelated to SL and its fashion, though it will include photos, for some of my stories. This is only a minor tiny plug, so, you can find a link to Delightfully Deviant on my blog roll. Plug over! Todays look was brought to you by plurk! Why? I do believe that would be because everyone that gave me something to wear, I have met through plurk! Hey, who said an addiction cant be a good thing? I have met some amazing people and even better, amazing designers who I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Most I didn't even realize were content creators. Who knew they aren't all scary 'don't you dare talk to me' designers that sit looking down on us pitiful common folk like you might think! What am I saying? I'm saying if you see a designer out there, say hi, dont fall at their feet for an autograph or anything, just remember they are here in a social game just like you are. Ok, if you happen to see *this* guy, you can fall at his feet. I certainly did!! For a complete trio story of how I ended up face planting on the red carpet, just click an image because as always, bigger is better here! I did the Magic of Oz coin hunt a few days ago and did a couple of beautiful shots with the dress given by The Laughing Academy here. The hunt is currently still running, though I am unsure for how long, so if you haven't ventured over to the Magic Of Oz yet, you still have time! I wandered over again with Ry today so she could pick up some of their goodies and we could take pics and remembered I had yet to come in and show them off myself! There is a lot of green fabulousness to be had and it all comes from raining coins. Gather as many coins as you can find throughout the sim and then travel along the yellow brick road until you find the shops. Once you find a pot to match your coin (shops pot needs to match their coins, of course) you just wear the coin and touch it for a gift! Coins are only usable once and a couple of the stores have multiple gifts to give out, randomly, so gather many! I've shopped, I've hunted, I've unpacked and even taken a few photos, but I don't have it in me to stay up much longer to blog it all. For now, just a quick recommendation. Go to the Relay For Life clothing fair!! Between RFL and the coin hunt going on at the Magic Of Oz sim, this is what I came away with. There is a group gift from LeLutka slipped in there as well. Tomorrow I will have more information on all of them, I promise, for now my inventory was just happy to add all of this to its contents. I may be broke, but I'm happy! I also snuck over to Material Squirrel and picked up a pair of green wings which were on sale, slipped on the dress from The Laughing Academy (coin hunt gift) and took the following picture. Over all, a very good day of Green Magic! Labels: Avanista, Laughing Academy, Magic Of Oz, Material Squirrel, Oubliette, Relay For Life |

After a very long week, and weekend, I am starting this week off with the kind of blogging I said I would do when I began this. More frequent is a start, at the very least. Featured in the image today is a skin that came as part of a large set from Skinzor. The skin and its makeups are fresh and very bright, I actually have a few plans with them for future photos. This Spring set of skins is scheduled to be released on the 27th of this month. After taking a bit of time away from the studio to shop at Skinzor, I found that they are having an amazing sale until the end of March! You can get amazing skins, clothing and accessories for 50L. If you haven't stopped by you really should, I have a feeling I will be sneaking back for what few things I haven't picked up yet too. Of course, being sick when I took the first image above, I didn't even mentally note who the dress was from before I changed. If you have any sort of an inventory close to my own, you will understand when I say I am still searching for the designer! If you by chance recognize it, please let me know so I can toss in credit. I am still searching and when I find it this will be updated as well. Lesson learned? Don't take photos while you have the flu and aren't focused. I even used this as an excuse to wear some of the old silks I found lounging around in my inventory (minus the skirt, mind you), as well as a pair of the amazing wings I recently purchased from Material Squirrel for the last shot here All poses for these images were purchased from Vain Inc. Clothing and other credits to follow. As always, bigger is better! Click on any image above to see the larger version for more detail and more depth. Even with great distractions each week [42] continues to release beautiful quality skins at amazingly decent prices. This last release, of course, is no different. I never buy a skin with freckles, typically they stand out a bit more than I prefer, however this set of freckled fancy were light enough that I actually enjoyed being a freckled avatar. Dressed in an outfit purchased at Emo City, I took on the personality of a spirited highland lass for the day. Appropriate this month, of course! As always, bigger is better, click on any image in order to view it larger for more detail. Last I have the pose I promised in a previous blog entry by Diesel Works. This pose is currently available at their shop for only 50L and is reported to be the first in a series. As you can see, I had a bit of a black and white kick going on for a while. Don't worry, color will be returning soon. I still remember the first time I saw a gown from Silent Sparrow, long ago when they had a space in someone else's store. Its been years since I purchased that gown, and I still have it, adore it, wear it. I have to plan my trips to Silent Sparrow very carefully, or run the risk of spending every last L I have there. While lurking and plurking (I know) I saw mention of the latest release and as my L balance began to cry, I just couldn't resist a little bit of indulgence. I am sure the handful of purchases I made will end up on my Flickr feed in the coming weeks. The best part is I only browsed through three of the rooms, I know there is more that I have been coveting so a return trip is in the not so distant future. Featured for my poses today I am using the latest release by Diesel Works. I adore the personality and bit of attitude each of these poses entail, be sure to drop by the store to see the full set and pick up the first of a new couple pose series for only 50L (image to come soon!). Also featured is a skin from [42], one of my favorite skin designers in SL. This particular skin is from the Dark Matter series, in neutral. Anytime I am looking for a skin based on theme or mood, these are the skins I turn to. She never fails me! Last, to sum up the entire look I chose a pair of ankle boots from Lassitude and Ennui. Its been a while since I have visited them but I always look for an excuse to wear these shoes lately. Once I had gathered what I was wearing and poses, I was on the hunt for a good location this morning for a few decent shots, somewhere new. I was glancing through one of the feeds (I tend to do this when left alone to my own wanderings, its never good to leave me alone) and saw mention of Tableau. I love the new build and will be returning to shop soon, for this series I wandered off away from the shops into a small gathering of trees and was rather pleased with the results. I could easily spend far too much time here taking pictures, be sure to stop by and visit them! Remember to click on any image for a larger version. Often times, bigger is better. I can't seem to help myself. The moment an update from Apple May Designs hits my inventory I have to go over and buy it. Yesterdays release was no exception and I even wandered off to take pictures after making the purchase. Bed story is a wonderfully comfortable tank and jeans set. It goes nicely with the Redgrave boots I finally broke down a purchase, thus catching up with the rest of the fashion world in Second Life. I happened to be listening to Chasing Pavements when I purchased the set and thought of pictures that I could take. I stopped over at Tesla City and snapped away. I couldn't resist trying to drive off with the car above, but I think someone saw me! To view these poses please click on the image, in this case bigger is far better. It is amazing what a tiny bit of networking can do. Through Flickr I met a great new (to me at least) pose creator and was thrilled to obtain this set to see what I could do with them. I have new found respect for pose creators yet again, and anyone working to create ads! I have no doubt I will be using these often, they are simply fabulous. I have vowed to start sharing the pose information in each of my blogs so I am happy to be sharing these poses with you and highly reccomend visiting Diesel Works for more. What does a girl wear when she is cloned at the subway station? Why, Zaara of course. Jeweled jeans, their newest shirt and jacket matched with shoes by Tesla (found only a stones throw away from Zaara's main store, upstairs) and you have an outfit fit for, well, 11 of me apparently! I love the colors and how this look came together, why haven't I been wearing Zaara more often?
