 PixelDolls isn't just for sales, though I think most people may have gotten an insane amount of things from them during their recent retirement promotions. I have been a part of the PixelDolls update group for so long, and always stop by to get one thing or another when I see something new. I love their quality, the way they stand out and are so unique and, best of all for my pocket, their prices are so affordable. I think this is one designer that has it figured out. Offer items at a price people can afford and they will most likely still spend as much as they might on one outfit in another store. Only they walk out with more, and are happy. Happy customers often want to come back and shop again with the next release. I went in and picked up a few of their most recent dresses, this is just one of them and I adore it! Like I said recently, for some reason I have never worn a lot of browns or golds. That has changed this season and I am loving this choice of color for this dress style (it comes in a handful).  I don't often blog about freebies, since there is a vast amount of bloggers out there that focus on them. However, I received this as a group gift from Mischief and knew it would make GI. Why? Mischief was one of the first designers that I fell in absolute love with, years and years ago. Janie has always brought SL an amazing selection of outfits as well as separates, and my inventory is a happier place for the massive folder of things I have from her. I left on the hair from Truth from my last blog post, and tossed on those flats from ::EmJay:: I mentioned. Love them, of course she sent me pink! Will be picking up the fat pack today!  Just a bonus image today, its a quiet day here and I find myself missing someone (Love you Sands) far more when my world is calm. Its a good thing I have so much going on to keep me busy, or you all would be tortured with pictures like this more often!  I know, I know I keep saying that I will just be coming in as often as I can and tossing up a fashion related post, LOTD, etc. However, this is a blog dang it! Blogs need text, they need stories and ramblings to keep people reading. They need a bit of spice, and life and...ok I have no idea what they really need but this is my blog and I figure I can fill it with whatever ramblings and nonsense I want! Oh, oh the power of text!  It's been a pretty busy week her so far, and its only Tuesday! I'm really looking forward to a fabulous late afternoon/evening today in eq2, but this morning I took a little bit of time and snuck into Second Life for some shopping and found Coquette on the feeds. Throughout this entire entry all of the clothing, shoes and jewelry are from Coquette, a fabulous little shop that has already filled a couple of folders in my inventory. Once I organize it that is...yea, never going to happen! I like my mess, apparently. Just as I start to get organized a shopping need washes over me and off I go! Coquette is a perfect place to satisfy that need and the last image here was a gift for their group not overly long ago, be sure to join it when you stop by.  I always love walking into a store and walking out with complete outfits, it makes my inventory just that much happier. With these outfits I included hairs from ETD, Truth and Magika, used poses from Striking Pose and Vain and one other (below) that I cannot for the life of me seem to find again. If anyone recognizes it, feel free to toss the information into a comment and I will modify the blog entry. So see, not overly painful with the rambling today, and it was almost all SL related! Imagine that...but don't expect that to be the case come, oh I dunno, tonight. Or tomorrow...or... the next day. I've been meaning to do a bit of revamping of my blog for a while now and today seems like the perfect day to do so. Please pardon any mess that may result as I get it up and running again and get my new blog roll going as well! As much as I previously wanted to come in and blog often, my time online and in world is sometimes limited and leaves me neglecting it instead. So, welcome to GI Look of the Day blogs. This isn't in any way going to replace my normal rambling posts and photos, its just going to be an addition to the blog so I can sneak in with a fast post when I am lacking on time.  I made a visit to Naive yesterday and found they have some awesome new releases out. This was also the first time I have visited since their new build and I simply love it!  Cleaning my inventory and reorganizing it has been on the top of my to do list for some weeks now. Yesterday I actually started tackling my main folder, the one where everything automatically ends up when you go out on a shopping spree, instead of working on what you already have. I need to work on that habit, or just give in and do it more. This outfit actually was tossed together purely by accident, yet has gained a place on my favorites list. I've been working on including more accessories into my outfits, and many of the sets at Twisted & Spoiled fills in my accessory need perfectly. The top was found at Twosome, a fabulous small store that I found while browsing the feeds. The rest was already lurking somewhere in my inventory, per usual.  The dominate pieces in these photos are, of course, the furniture! With the amazing scuplted work and detailed textures, the furniture from Not So bad has taken over one of my entire builds. I honestly fell in love with their furniture and purchased about half the store, twice!  After a very long week, and weekend, I am starting this week off with the kind of blogging I said I would do when I began this. More frequent is a start, at the very least. Featured in the image today is a skin that came as part of a large set from Skinzor. The skin and its makeups are fresh and very bright, I actually have a few plans with them for future photos. This Spring set of skins is scheduled to be released on the 27th of this month.     After taking a bit of time away from the studio to shop at Skinzor, I found that they are having an amazing sale until the end of March! You can get amazing skins, clothing and accessories for 50L. If you haven't stopped by you really should, I have a feeling I will be sneaking back for what few things I haven't picked up yet too. Of course, being sick when I took the first image above, I didn't even mentally note who the dress was from before I changed. If you have any sort of an inventory close to my own, you will understand when I say I am still searching for the designer! If you by chance recognize it, please let me know so I can toss in credit. I am still searching and when I find it this will be updated as well. Lesson learned? Don't take photos while you have the flu and aren't focused.  I even used this as an excuse to wear some of the old silks I found lounging around in my inventory (minus the skirt, mind you), as well as a pair of the amazing wings I recently purchased from Material Squirrel for the last shot here All poses for these images were purchased from Vain Inc.
