I finally got myself off to Culture Shock and first, I have to say, I love the way this was set up. I love being able to start at one point and just walk walk walk and end up at the same point, having hit every stand without having to back track and go along another line of shops. It was absolutely fantastic! I also am one of those people that wait until the last week because I like to shop without lag, and I got some amazing pieces!

I tossed together this look with a few of my favorites. Lisp had this adorable stack of suitcases that I could not resist, another moment where I didn't even try! They fit in perfectly in this corner of my home. I also held no resistance for the boots by Ingenue. House of Fox has this fabulous Mesh skirt out, though it was a bit higher than I thought it would be it is still an amazing piece. I've always loved the style and with it moving with me as I walk, I'm in mesh heaven! The top was part of an outfit by Echo. Now, the hair I didn't get at Culture Shock, but Wasabi was there so I figured it would at least tie in. Yea, I cheated a bit there. I have an adorable necklace on from Caroline's Jewelry and, much to the shock of those around me, I picked up a tan skin from Pink Fuel. Last, but not least, I picked up a pose pack by Atooly. They are adorable, and I can't wait to use the rest of them for future bloggage.

Whew!! Everyone had such great stands at Culture Shock, I got so many great things and a lot of the exclusive pieces too. There are so many fun events going on, I can't wait to get to work on the next set of blogs I have pieces for already. See you on the grid!

In all honestly, I think I am longing for lazy days, but not at all having any! I've been wanting to blog the last few days but just haven't really had the time with so much going on at work. Staff changes, a massive project I just haven't been able to get done (sim builds that simply are not going to get done on time, doh), then there was Mothers Day where I couldn't stay sat at the pc all day! However, I managed to toss this together...finally.

The dress is from The Sea Hole (collabor88 item as well as the hammock) and the hammock is by Cheeky Pea. I absolutely love these items, even though I didn't pick up much at the event this time. The skin is Illusory with some makeup by Izzies and A.E. Meth. Standing pose by Fri.Day (wow, I still haven't cleaned up from pose fair, my inventory hates me right now lol) and one of my favorite hairs by Wasabi.

Oh lazy days better be coming soon! Things in other areas of life are settling down to where they are supposed to be. My stress has been slipping away and my friendship/relationships are falling into place. Its nice to be going to bed with a smile, instead of worry and anxiety, and then waking with the same smile in place. It can only get better from here.

One of the hardest parts about working in SL, even as support, is that it is a 7 day a week job. There is no weekend, or TGIF, especially since Sundays and Tuesdays are so terribly tough for residents. Last week, however, I spoke to my manager and got a full week of vacation to do some work on me, and my own, for a change of pace.

I didn't do the normal stuff of SL, like some might of thought I would. I actually stayed away from SL. Even (mostly) away from plurk. At some point I realized that were it not for my job, and a very small handful of people that I care for, I don't think I would of come back at all. This makes me think I have been focusing on SL all wrong, that I have still taken *me* out of the equation and spend all of my time focusing on what other people want. I then looked just -two posts before this one- and saw myself saying the same exact thing! That I needed to focus on me...and then, I didn't even bother to do it!

So, I took the week off. I mean, off. I got a lot of extra sleep, did a lot more cleaning than my family is used to, and reconnected with a few people that aren't on the pc at all. It was nice, but the week is over. Last night I snuck in some time to work on my sim, finding myself with 2k more in prims than I had a few days before. Its not nearly done, but above is a picture of one of my favorite spots so far. The What Next bikes and furniture are so perfect for spring, once it decides to get here and stick around for a while. The mesh shirt and shorts were my vacation wear, I suppose tomorrow its back to the grind....can I leave the shorts on?

I know these pics are a bit bright, but that's how I felt today...light, comfortable, happy. I tend to dress to reflect my mood and if I don't change at all, its a bad sign. Today I put on the new jeans that were just released by Maitreya. These are the best mesh jeans I have gotten so far, and I am actually glad I fat-packed them. I also picked up some of their new leggings and a skirt, so I am eager to start putting looks together with the new pieces. The more mesh I buy, the more I want to delete everything in my inventory that isn't mesh. A true pack rat cannot do this though...darn it.

I double meshed my outfit today, which can often cause problems. When I had the medium sized pants on and tossed on this shirt from coldLogic you could see the button in the center of the jeans poking through. Luckily the small was back far enough it no longer shows and I absolutely love the results. Shoes by Ingenue, accessories by Phoenix Rising and hair by Wasabi, pull this all together. Did you hear that? I put on accessories! Knock me over with a feather.....

The rest of my day was fabulous, it always is when I get to get out of the house and enjoy the spring weather. Its still a bit cold and crisp, but promises to be an amazing summer. Oh, and because I think music completely affects the mood and peoples day, here is what I've been listening to. For all you beautiful people, much love...

After spending so much time knee deep in my inventory, I somehow managed to reduce it by at least 6k this last week. Oh thats good, right? Its awesome! Until you look and realize that still has me over 45k. I just cant seem to find the massive amount of items anywhere, where is the folder that has 10k worth of items in it? What addiction did I used to have that I am unable to find now? Is it my 'favorite designers' folder? Most everything is organized well enough, but that folder scares me. I don't know why I tossed everything together by designer for a long time, it didn't help when I was in the mood for a dress vs pants outfit. It doesn't help when I want a particular top, to go with the new pants I just found. It has to be organized, it does. So, I should do that someday. Yes, this week, its on my to do list for this week! Shall we take bets on if it gets done? Even if it doesn't, I have been focused enough, at least, to delete a few things when I do go out and shop. Did I say shop? Did I shop?! Why yes, yes I did. Shame on me...

I seriously just couldn't help myself! I'm tired of the winter items, tired of being cold and in those warm tones, I had to go find me some spring. G-Field is never one to disappoint, and I saw this posted on plurk (you don't plurk yet? Join here!) and I do believe I ditched Kerra at home to go and get this shirt! There are a few other beautiful floral shades, as well as a handful of solids (I grabbed the pink in the solid, of course). I had also spent a lot of time over at fri.day the last couple of days getting hairs, poses, and these jeans. Now, of course I put on the black ones just so you couldn't really see the detail, but trust me they are fantastic! Will be using them more on Style Card as well (another LOTD post by me recently, go look, mean it!), so be sure to peek over there once in a while. After those addictions, the last day or so, I ended up with almost 500 added to my inventory from hairs, jewelry, shoes, poses, seriously the list is huge but I had so much fun! First shopping spree in weeks!

Why is that, you ask? What has curbed my shopping addiction? Well, nothing, I am still addicted to it, I just haven't had the time to shop as much between inventory insanity and most of all, Sands. Since before my last entry we have been running a guild together in EQ2 and oh, my, what a time sucker that is! Between the guild and the latest expansion, a new level cap we had to reach (the 2nd night, oh yea) and helping others do their leveling, I find myself hardly getting everything done online that I want to! Luckily we have been making sure to get time together and away from the grind and work of EQ2, but I have been enjoying so much of it with him. There is a lot of change in our future, things to look forward to, choices to be made, but everything remains absolutely amazing. Not much else to update on, visit not only the links below, but the ones above and check out some of the things that have been keeping me busy. Its been a great winter, now, on to spring! Someone tell the snow....

So this is what happens when no one is on, and I am left alone to wander around shopping. I end up filling in some of the inventory I just cleaned out but oh my goodness sakes alive, it was worth it! I got a ton of jewelry from U&R Dogs and I love every piece, you will be seeing a lot of it coming up. In favor of my flats addiction, I picked up a couple colors of these from Ingenue as well as some of her other fabulous shoes. The outfit, wearing My Boyfriends Jeans from Milk Motion and I have to say, I think they are one of my favorite pairs of jeans period! Top from Glam Affair, there is more to come from them as well. This is just the tip of the iceberg, heaven help SC!!

I received an update card from Ingenue about these shoes and had to slip over to find a pair that would be a perfect addition to my shoe collection. They come in such a huge variety of colors and combination that it was hard choosing one, but the dress (which was on sale on the opposite wall) helped me settle on a brown with blush accenting. Betty just recently remodeled the shop again and boasts of an outlet section gaining more items for you to go and snag so, go on, get to snagging!

Another very simple post today, been extremely busy as we prepare to send little people back to school. Ahh, summer is almost over, I'm so looking forward to Autumn! This beautiful dress is a the current group gift for Ingenue. Wearing a new hair from Truth and fabulous shoes from Shiny Things (who is, by far, my favorite shoe store to date) this is me sneaking even closer to fall. I've never been fond of summer, too hot, I love the cooler seasons and I thought this reflected that perfectly.
